How the Loving Surrogates process works
Our surrogacy process is designed for transparency and predictability. From your first consultation to bringing your baby home, we coordinate every step. The total timeline is typically 14-18 months from first consultation to citizenship documentation. Every journey includes medical screening, psychological evaluation, legal coordination, and ongoing support.
Step 1 — Free consultation and eligibility check (Week 1)
Your journey begins with a free consultation — typically a 60-minute video call with our international surrogacy agency team. We review your family structure, citizenship goals, and budget to determine eligibility. We recommend the destination that best matches your profile. If you’re eligible, we move to medical screening in Week 2.
Step 2 — Match with surrogate (2-3 months)
The matching process typically takes 2-3 months. We present profiles of pre-screened gestational carriers who match your preferences. Each candidate has completed medical screening, psychological evaluation, and background checks. Once you select a carrier, we coordinate an introductory call before signing legal contracts.
Step 3 — Legal contracts and IVF (3-4 months)
Once matched, our legal team drafts legal contracts between you and the gestational carrier, following the laws of the destination country. Simultaneously, your IVF cycle begins at the partner fertility clinic, including egg donor services if needed. Embryo transfer typically occurs 4-6 weeks after contracts are signed.
Step 4 — Pregnancy and birth (9-10 months)
After successful embryo transfer, the gestational carrier’s pregnancy is monitored by the partner fertility clinic. You receive regular updates and can attend key prenatal appointments. We coordinate any travel required for the birth. The pregnancy typically proceeds like any other, with delivery at the partner clinic or hospital.
Step 5 — Citizenship and passport (2-3 months)
After birth, we coordinate birth certificate registration, parentage orders (where applicable), and citizenship documentation. The baby receives a birth certificate from the destination country plus citizenship of your home country through descent. Our team handles all paperwork and exit procedures.
